I wish I could understand the point this is attempting to convey. Suppressing the impulse to feel offended, I find that substituting Pinocchio for Christ seems to imply that religion is a lie, or perhaps that it is controlled by a puppet master. Or is there not supposed to be a real point?

i agree with JMayer. there's way too much symbolism here...the nails in the hands, the spikey crown, the cross-like symbol above him and the gesture of pieta...it is hard not to be offended in some way, however purely from composition standpoint it is nicely painted despite the actual image
